20180205_023615.png2018 is the year where I appreciate myself more, love myself more and acknowledge every little success and celebrate it – specifically, my body. For the longest time my body image was never ‘good enough’ for me. I never appreciated my efforts in the gym nor did I celebrate my small victories… until this year.

This year I choose to wake up with more gratitude, self-love and a heart overflowing with positive energy, so much that I share this with everyone else around me. I choose to learn, grow, and cherish my body.

I choose to love myself unconditionally – body, flaws and all. To love myself the way I hope for someone else to one day love me. Fiercely, and unafraid to show it!

I understand that self-love and awareness can take practice and so I am not saying that this comes easy to me. I practice this everyday. It went from days to now just moments where I catch myself in a mindset where I am feeling this negative energy about my body/self hovering over me. When this happens I lean on my relationships and that is where I can say from the bottom of my heart that I am so grateful for the beautiful humans who will lift me up. My heart is full with all of you – you know who you are!

Daily Arbonne Intake

I’m sure you’ve seen our posts on Arbonne and so we wanted to share with you all our everyday essentials with some of the products we use.

To begin, we will start off with our daily Arbonne Protein shake. It comes in 2 flavours, vanilla and chocolate. We take this every day to start off our morning with high protein. We also like to make a shake before or after a workout. You can add banana and other fruits with it!

After breakfast, around noon time if not after noon time, we take an Energy Fizz stick. Our days start around 3:30am or 6:30am-7am, and for that reason we take this to give us a bit of kick to continue our day. With that in mind, this isn’t something you have to take daily; we just do it because of our early mornings to start work, school, homework, and house work; as you can see, we have long days. Aside from that, we take our energy fizz because also tastes yummy. It comes in two flavours and my personal favourite is pomegranate! Most of us don’t like taking things that leave us with a bad taste in out mouth, and trust us when we say this wont!

 

Moving forward, we use our awesome tasteless Fibre Boost! We use this when prepping dinner.

Have you ever loved anything tasteless? If not, try this. This allows you to add and mix it with anything while providing you with 12 grams of fibre. You can read more below.

Lastly, we drink Arbonnes Herbals tea. We drink one cup at least once a day. We give this to our mom as well – she loves it! It makes us feel cleansed, relax and good. Usually at night is always nice to have, as well as mid day. You can take it whenever, really.

 

….AND that’s a wrap!

Below is a picture on how you can use everything together – excluding the herbal tea, but including the Greens Balance. We do take the Green Balance, but not on a daily basis – not because we don’t like it. It is just as important to have your greens daily, but we simply do it by assuring we eat our greens. So we take it when we don’t eat enough throughout our day.

Every parent wants the best for their children.

When you hear about top athletes making it to the professional level every year or getting scholarships after their grad year because of their talent- a parent dreams and hopes for that. It’s hard not to hope your own kid can also excel in a sport at that level. Emerson will teach and concentrate on letting the kids have a good time while developing their basic skills in basketball. To all you parents, what can be promised? Well, an attention to detail of basic movements that are sure to change your kids game for the better. This single sport camp will have your kids constantly moving and healthy. Emerson will be able to devote his time to increase the level of intensity as progress is made, to improve techniques, and introduce tactics used in the professional leagues.

WHEN IS EMSSENTIALS HOSTING THIS CAMP? 

It is going to be on Nov 26/27 and is tailored for kids 10-18. It will be a two day camp; each day consisting of 3 hours each group.

Emerson will be working with woman trainer Jalma Ball and they both plan on bringing a level of experience that is few and far between Vancouver.

STARTING WITH EMSSENTIALS.

EMSSENTIALS is an organization that focuses on athletic development and community building, founded by Emerson Jay Murray. He is a certified trainer through ISSA and has had the privilege of working under several mentors in the athlete development community. Not only does Emerson love helping athletes, but he has found another way of connecting with others through modelling. Emerson is a respected basketball player who has continued his journey in basketball by taking it to another level- We are super excited to have partnered with him.


WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT.
You can find us throwing community events and appearances in the lower mainland. We will be providing you all with tips and updates on programs for youth clinics and personal training. We will also be giving information on our product launches for our health and fitness products.

Kelly goes publikk: Self Love + Self Confidence

Our ability to dream is greatly impacted by our self confidence.” – #IDARETODREAM 

I decided to write this blog in bold writing because this topic about self love and self confidence to me is very strong, impactful, and valiant. 

Sharing about my experience and journey on how to learn to love myself again was hard and makes me vulnerable.

It took a lot of self talk, and friends and family to continuously remind me about my worth and accomplishments; describing me by using words like: beautiful, strong, hard working, badass and loving.

Truth was, my self love tank shrunk down to the size of a bottle cap. It was 2 years ago when I spent a whole year to try to understand what it’s like to love yourself again. 

Although, I knew where and what I wanted to do in life, something was getting in my way. It was like this dark cloud was hovering over me and I didn’t know how to get it to go away. All I knew was that this feeling didn’t effect my work life. I knew this because I continued to receive opportunities and acknowledgement. This emptiness that I felt affected me internally. I walked around with a mask on my face. Aside from my best friend and sister, others always saw me smiling, laughing, and joking around with people. Nobody saw that I was in emotional agony. Even though I was successful and doing everything right, I still wasn’t happy with my self. I didn’t feel like anything that I did was enough – that I was enough. It was a terrible mindset. 

Then one day, I went on a hike and reminisced on all the good times I had with this one human being. I started to self reflect. By doing this, I realized that just because one person did me wrong and made me feel awful things, didn’t mean I wasn’t worth it; although it felt that way sometimes. This realization is what made me become relentless in reaching my dream goals. From that point on, I felt excitement and happiness. I accepted, respected, and appreciated myself as a whole. It felt like a “eureka” moment. I started accepting and believing all the nice inner and outer beauty compliments. I chose to allow myself to make mistakes and not to berate myself for making them. I chose to not question the things that I did for the one person I fell in love with because it was never done with the intention to cause harm or hurt. This thought process and change allowed me to grow into a stronger person, as well as an ego- and that’s not a bad thing. I became confident again and I felt like I was back to my normal self. It was the best feeling ever. 

I believe that self confidence starts with self love. When you love yourself, you don’t seek for approval. I for one am still practicing self love. It’s not a destination. It’s a foundation – the pillars that keep you up and grounded. So I encourage you all to step outside and take a breath of fresh air.

Arbonne Samples.

 

” Me And My A r b o n n e.” 

A little over a month ago my Arbonne samples came in the mail and I received the following products:

FC5 Samples which contain kiwi, strawberry, carrot and mango extract. Since the products are concentrated and no fillers are used these gems lasted me a while. I decided to apply the products on days I was using heavier makeup to see how my face feels and reacts to them.

Makeup Primer (far right): I don’t usually apply primer so this product was new to me.  I applied the primer after using my day time cream. The combination of the two is an amazing feel on my skin. My face felt very smooth and the products did not feel heavy at all – which I love! Sidenote: this primer contains green tea leaf extract and grape-seed extract.

I was also provided a Energy fizz stick to add to my water. I was super excited to test this product out as some lemons (coworkers) have purchased these products themselves. The fizz stick is a botanical blend of green tea extract, b vitamins etc that provides a healthy energy and focus. This energy fizz stick is suppose to  help metabolize fats and proteins. The taste was phenomenal and I actually felt a nice uplift from the drink. I recommend the fizz sticks if you are looking for a bit more energy and vitamins in your system.

My favourite product was the Mascara! “It’s a Long Story Mascara,” sure does last a long night without leaving any clumps or feeling heavy on your lashes. This mascara made my eye lashes look extra long with a nice bold look – oh, and it’s water-resistant! What’s not to love!

Overall, my samples had me excited about Arbonne that I decided to test out their foundation and concealer. I just ordered these babies and I am so excited to apply these on my skin.
